- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 240g x canned black beans
- 200g ground almonds
- 7 fl oz almond milk
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons almond butter
- 2 tablespoons date syrup
- 8 tablespoons maple syrup
- 7 tablespoons of cacao powder
- 3.5 oz raisins
- large pinch of sea salt

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180C (350F), fan setting.
Step 2
Place the chia seeds into a bowl with 5 tablespoons of water and leave to soak for at least 10 minutes.
Step 3
Once the chia mixture is thick, place all the ingredients, except the raisins, in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Step 4
Stir in the raisins until evenly mixed in.
Step 5
Line a baking dish with baking parchment (31cm x 21cm x 6cm), pour the brownie mix in and spread it out using a spoon.
Step 6
Bake for 40 minutes, or until a knife comes out almost clean.
Step 7
Let the brownies cool to room temperature before serving; this is really important as they continue setting during this time.
