- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Pinch fennel seed
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper

Preparation
Step 1
In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Step 2
Add the fennel seed, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and crushed red pepper. Stir until combined and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. You can simmer for up to 30 minutes if you want.
Step 3
Store the pizza sauce in a jar or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or cool completely and freeze for up to 3 months.
