Ingredients
- chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- oats
- walnuts
- onion
- vegan BBQ sauce
- water or vegetable stock
- chia seeds
- salt
- garlic
- olive or coconut oil

Preparation
Step 1
In a food processor or high-speed blender, combine all the ingredients.
Step 2
Blend until relatively smooth and evenly combined, but with some bits of coarse texture still showing through.
Step 3
Cover and refrigerate your burger mixture for at least 1 hour.
Step 4
Divide your burger mixture into about 1/4 cup dollops.
Step 5
Shape into patties with your hands, wetting your fingers as needed if the mixture sticks.
Step 6
Heat a lightly greased skillet on the stove over medium heat or alternatively heat a grill to medium heat and let pre-heat about ten minutes.
Step 7
Grill each burger for about 4 minutes on each side or until desired golden crispiness.
Step 8
Garnish with more BBQ sauce before serving. Enjoy!
