Preparation
Chef’s notes
Store the dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
You can make the dip with whole milk, low-fat, or fat-free cottage cheese and plain Greek yogurt. The dip will be creamier with the higher fat content products.
If you don’t care for plain Greek yogurt, you can use sour cream.
I use dried herbs for this ranch dip recipe to keep it super simple. If you want to use fresh dill, parsley, and chives, use more because dried herbs are more concentrated.
Feel free to experiment by adding extras like a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat or a splash of Worcestershire sauce for depth. You can also stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Ranch dip is thicker than ranch dressing, but has the same classic flavor. If you want to use this ranch dip recipe as a dressing, thin it out with a little buttermilk.
