Ingredients
- 2-½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- 8 oz butter, 2 sticks, room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup, 4oz granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1-½ 12oz bags of semi sweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl, set aside.
Step 3
Cream butter and sugars together in a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment until combined.
Step 4
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Step 5
Remove bowl from stand and mix in flour using a spatula, the dough will be stiff.
Step 6
Stir in chocolate chips and distribute through the batter.
Step 7
Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough on parchment-lined baking sheets 2 inches apart.
Step 8
Bake 12-15 minutes until cookies are golden around the edges.
Step 9
Transfer cookies to a wire rack while still hot.
Step 10
Let cool completely.
