- ½ cup homemade or light mayo (I prefer Duke’s brand)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- ½ cup packed basil leaves
- 3 green onions (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (or 1 lemon)
- Pinch of salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 loaf soft ciabatta or focaccia bread (cut in half lengthwise)
- ½ lb thinly sliced deli turkey
- 4-5 slices havarti or Swiss cheese
- 1 small avocado (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
- ½ English cucumber (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup alfalfa sprouts
- 8 bamboo or long toothpicks (optional for serving)
