  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (chilled, cut into ¼” pieces)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature, beaten)
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp whiskey or bourbon (optional)
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

  • 3 medium pink lady apples (cored and thinly sliced (about 2-3 cups)
