- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.

Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then whisk in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring with a wooden spoon until just combined.

Fold in the apple cubes until they are evenly distributed.

Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
