- 2 tablespoons cooking oil of choice (I like to use avocado oil)
- 5 green onions (chopped)
- 2 large tomatoes (finely diced)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon water (if needed)

Preparation
Step 1
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the onions and garlic, cooking until soft, about 2 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the tomatoes, salt, cumin, and black pepper.
Step 4
Turn the heat to low, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes break down into a thick sauce (about 10–15 minutes).
Step 5
Add a splash of water if needed.
Step 6
