  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano, plus extra for serving

This authentic Greek salad recipe is made simply with tomato, cucumber, green pepper, red onion, olives, oregano, and a red wine vinaigrette, and lots of feta cheese.
No lettuce or fancy dressing is used in this traditional Greek salad.
Greek salads are typically served with a large chunk of feta rather than crumbled feta.
Kalamata olives are served with pits in Greece.
The salad should not be overly-tossed.
