Ingredients

- 2x 400g cans of jackfruit
- 1 small red onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tablespoons tomato purée
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon hot chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- drizzle of olive oil
- pinch of sea salt

Preparation
Step 1
In a pan over medium heat, heat a drizzle of olive oil. Once warm, add the onion, garlic and a pinch of salt. Cook for 10 minutes, until soft.
Step 2
Add in the spices and cook for another 3 minutes, before adding the tomato puree, jackfruit and coconut sugar (if using) - mix it all together really well to ensure everything is coated in the spices. Cook for 20-25 minutes, constantly stirring.
Step 3
Once the jackfruit is really soft, pull using a large spoon or fork.
