Preparation
Step 1
Place the dark chocolate in a pan over a low heat. Heat until melted, mixing to ensure the chocolate doesn’t burn.
Step 2
Once melted, add the coconut milk (or coconut cream), maple syrup and 3 tablespoons of cacao powder. Mix well until a thick, smooth mixture forms.
Step 3
At this point, remove from the heat and leave the mixture to cool down a little before placing in the fridge for 15-20 minutes. You want the mixture to be hard but not completely set.
Step 4
Once hard enough to shape, scatter some reserved cacao powder over a baking tray. Use a tablespoon to scoop out balls of the mixture and roll them into ball shapes using your hands.
Step 5
Roll the balls in the cacao powder and place in the fridge until ready to enjoy.
