- 1 x 10 oz jar artichoke hearts in oil
- 1 x 14 oz tin haricot beans
- ½ lemons
- 2–4 thick slices crusty bread
- small handful of basil

Preparation
Step 1
Place the artichoke hearts, beans and lemon juice into the bowl of a food processor and blitz to create a rough, slightly chunky paste. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Step 2
Heat a griddle pan over medium–high heat. Once hot, griddle the bread for 2 minutes on each side, until lightly charred.
Step 3
Remove from the pan and spread each piece of bread with several spoonfuls of the artichoke and bean mix. Serve sprinkled with fresh basil.
