- 8 ounces spaghetti, broken in half
- 1 12.8-ounce package andouille chicken sausage, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
- 2 28-ounce cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large pot over low heat. Add the garlic and cook until golden, about 3 minutes. Stir in the basil and tomatoes.
Step 2
Bring to a boil and add the salt; reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened, about 40-45 minutes. Stir in the balsamic vinegar.
Step 3
Thread 5-7 spaghetti strands through each slice of sausage.
Step 4
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well.

Serve immediately with marinara sauce.
