- ⅛ teaspoon fine salt, to taste
- 2 medium cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, scale back or omit if sensitive to spice)
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice plus lemon wedges, for serving

The key is to slice the chard very thinly and cook it over medium-high heat until it caramelizes on the edges.
Uses both leaves and stems, adding texture and color.
Can substitute lime juice for the lemon if it better suits your meal.
