  • 1 cup (120g) cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup (105g) lard shortening, chilled
  • 1/2 cup (110g) unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 5 oz milk chocolate
  • 1/3 cup (113g) heavy cream
