  • zest of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more if needed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice + reserve the zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons poppy seeds
