- 1 lb ground turkey
- 8 oz mushrooms, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
Step 2
Add ground turkey to the skillet, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Step 3
Transfer the turkey mixture to the slow cooker.
Step 4
Add mushrooms, crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, red wine, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Serve over pasta, garnished with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
