- 10 oz porridge oats
- 5.3 oz plain flour
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6.7 fl oz almond milk
- 6.8 fl oz maple syrup
- 50g of melted coconut oil

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C fan /350°F, fan setting.
Step 2
Line a 12-hole muffin tray with melted coconut oil.
Step 3
Place the porridge oats into a blender or NutriBullet. Blitz until you have a fine consistency.
Step 4
In a large bowl, mix together the ground oats, flour, bicarb and spices until there are no lumps.
Step 5
Once combined, add the maple syrup, melted coconut oil and almond milk and mix until a batter has formed.
Step 6
Pour equal amount of the mixture into the muffin holes and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden. To test whether they’re ready, put a knife into the middle, if it comes out clean they’re ready, if not place back into the oven for 5 more minutes.
Step 7
Once cooked, leave the scones to cool for at least 10 minutes in their tins to firm up, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling or serve warm.
